Does that mean the European's will be bailing out Bombardier from now on?

Done deal now apparently.

No cash changes hand. A huge win for Airbus, a huge loss for Boeing :P

It won't effect the tarrif's against the C series at all. But at least they'll probably sell more planes in Europe, because frankly from a sales point of view the C series is a bit of a dud.

Sure it would. The plane will now be built in Mobile, AL for American customers. Good luck slapping a tariff on an American made plane.

The only way to fix Bombardier is to Anglicize it's name.

it is now known as Bomb-a-deer.

Airbus has a US plant. Presumably if they build it in the US tariffs aren't an issue?

Between equalizations and the bailouts I'd wager 5% of our provincial take goes to support Bombardier

The champagne, the real stuff from France. Will be flowing in the offices of the Beaudoin family. Oh mon Dieu! finally, finally!! Another cash cow to milk.

A real cash cow, in Washington, Oh mon Dieu! We will be milking the same cow as Boeing.

If they’re built in the states they’re scot free aren’t they?

I have my doubts because this ruling was based on business practices that have already happened.

The US will view this as a cynical way to get around the tariffs and probably not lift them on the C series.

Giving up that equity for no cash looks a lot like a white flag to me. Like, if you're going to get bought out, at least get bought?

I don't think it's legally possible for the US to put tariffs on items that are made in the US. I'm pretty sure free interstate commerce is part of their constitution.
