He plays the powerplay point and is taking faceoffs in this highlight package.

Watching him walk up to the stage, you can see that he’s pretty filled out for a smaller guy. Looks solid. Marty St. Louis comparable maybe? In terms of hitting the weight room.

-he obviously needs to bulk up and get stronger, hopefully he has another growth spurt coming too
-I saw reports that he has a great 200ft game but based on what I saw he looked lost in his own zone
-if he's going to make it in the NHL it will have to be as a middle 6 winger who can play in all situations because I don't think he has the raw skill to be a top line scorer or playmaker
-he looks to be fairly versatile as Moncton used him at LW, RW and as the QB from the point on the PP
-as others have mentioned he looks like a Gallagher/Bennett hybrid which would be great but he also has the skill set to be a great defensive forward if he can get bigger and improve his defensive game
Seems like a decent pick at 26.

Lol, I don’t see how his shot is a negative. I watched his highlights and one of his biggest attributes seems to be his quick release. Seems like you are over analyzing things.

I don't see how someone projects him as Marchand/Gallagher. These guys were over 100 pim in junior.
He seems more in line with Czarnik or Nic Petan or Brayden Point

Edit: thought you said points, PIM are a terrible way to analyze if a player plays a hard game...

I suspect it is probably because everyone else in the hockey world stopped paying much attention to PIMs a long time ago.

“PIMs.” Not “Pts.”
Ricardodw has been obsessed with PIMs for years.

Lol, my bad. I didn’t think someone actually would use PIM to judge a player

Funny when I watched his highlights prior to the draft, I saw Alex Tanguay.

Lol, I don't see how I said it was a negative. I said it could use work. Seems like you are over analyzing things other people say without comprehending them first.

Haha that’s a stretch, you came up with a bunch negatives after watching his highlight videos and keep comparing him to Bennett who is not at all a comparable
I misread read PIM, I apologized lol.

Hahaha I don’t tell anyone how to think but express my opinion just like you do.
If we are taking shots here, you have a bad habit of being condescending. Feel free to PM me if you have an issue with my posts, I was just conversing about a player the Flames just drafted.
I just didn’t understand the comparison to Bennett and the critique on his shot as most scouting reports have noted his shot is a plus and he seems to have a very quick release from in tight.

Scoring Winger

If people are saying he's a bit of a puck hog who doesn't use his teammates very well, cuts to the middle and drives the net, and doesn't shy away from the dirty areas. That sounds almost exactly like Sam Bennett. Hopefully he just has a little more awareness of his teammates positioning then Bennett.

I don’t know where that narrative is coming from, I don’t see it in any scouting report. Most highlight him being a playmaker first

Sportsnet had the are he needs to work on as being too selfish with the puck on their graphic.
Seems to be the only place that is saying it so most likely a common Sportsnet error

On Sportsnet last night when he was taken, they had "Selfish with Puck" as the area that he needs to improve.
