Come on guys, sure the RCMP, DEA, Health departments and doctors have all warned about the increasing presence of cocaine mixed with fentanyl, but jlh2640 met a guy once who said it was a myth so probably should give equal weight to both views.

He also blamed addicts for the fentanyl problem.
Clearly this is someone who believes that the war on drugs and pure abstinence are the winning solutions when dealing with addiction and substance abuse. Very well informed position that is backed up by mountains of evidence...

You can state facts while acknowledging the pain caused by drug use.

Glad you posted, call me an ass if it makes you feel better about it all. There are many reasons why many become addicts, the fact of the argument is that many believe most Fentanyl OD are because of laced other drugs. That is in fact incorrect. But I am done wasting anymore time on this. I will stop as one poster asked for. We can agree to disagree, that is what this forum is about. You guys can believe what you wish to, media can say what they want and we can all move on. Kuz should not have lied about doing cocaine. hope fully he can get sober

The right conclusion is reached, but perhaps for the wrong reason.

On the topic of fentanyl. If you are addicted to or dependent on cocaine you really need to know your source these days. Street level should be a no go, but unfortunately if you're addicted and without employment, street level is likely your only option.
At that point it's not a bad decision, just the reality of addiction. One day we will have legalized drugs and will look back with confusion as to why we didn't do things this way from day one, when you factor in incarceration, medical care aka cost to society and individual, etc.
The nature of pragmatic decision making I guess. The emotional reactions tend to rule the day and science and fact based reasoning need time.

Lack of compassion for sure. Not a lack of understanding.

Well both, considering your posts. Which is fine, as that describes the better part of the population.
I do appreciate owning the lack of compassion, though. Most people who lack compassion on an issue automatically, vehemently oppose the charge towards compassion as it's human nature to assume we're compassionate in all situations when literally no one is.
I mean that genuinely, btw. No need for me or anyone to attack or disparage people for different opinions or level of understanding on topics.
