Coworkers are crazy. Do the meth, clean your house like it's never been cleaned before, then go collect your million bucks.

How do you say no to a million bucks? Do you know how much meth you can get with that?

Lol. The meth on the street is so addicting and can damage your mental health beyond repair on one dose. So the million would be useless

No, no, no. The million dollars would keep you in meth for a good long while if you don't blow it on food or shelter.

For what it’s worth, smoking 1 cigarette is most likely to get you addicted than trying meth once. Obviously different consequences if you get addicted

And the conditions on the bet said nothing about the source. I'd be playing everything else as safe as possible.

For a million bucks I'd do meth scrapped off of an OD'ing junkies nose.

Just swing by Los Pollos Hermanos and ask for Gus, he'll take care of you.

This thread is pages and pages of wow. The amount of professionals who do cocaine, be they; lawyers, nurses, bankers, chefs...would be shocking to most...

...Calgary over the years has been notorious for its players partying...in 08-09 when the Flames had the best record at home and the worst record on the road, wasn't the joke "let Kippers dealer go with him on the road"?

Even lately there have been allegations about certain players enjoying the nightlife a little too much.

At the end of the day, if your preform on the ice, who cares. The risks are well known. If the NHL cared cocaine would be lumped in the same group as various PEDs, but its not.

I don't think drugs are nearly as physically addicting as people think. You don't try meth or heroine once and become a junkie. The vast majority of people use cocaine and most drugs recreationally. The vast majority take opioids or whatever else for pain as prescribed and are fine. The people severely hooked on heroine I'd think are often self medicating for whatever struggles or pains are going on in their life.

Addiction is typically rooted in trauma, and people tend to get addicted to whatever they find shields them from re-experiencing that trauma in their minds. A big part of kicking addictions requires the user to come to peace with the trauma that drove them to addiction in the first place. Which is why people can have trouble kicking things that aren't physically addictive, and why a mentally healthy person could do a bunch of meth and not really feel the need to do it again.

Finally some sense; thanks, Matata.
The amount of ignorance in this thread is astounding to me.
No wonder our society has such a huge problem with attending to drugs and addiction issues.

Not to single out specific posters at all; it is just a general comment about the amount of misinformation passed of as fact in this thread.

I'd say that's hardly out of line.

Trauma is the root cause of addiction.

Well, plus the small detail of losing about $140k in salary. That is some high-priced blow.
