Very solid bridge there.

Great contract. Man he would look nice on the Flames' RW.

That should help keep us having room for Eichel.

Good contract for a player that just had one ok pro-season. I don't put him in Magiapane territory year, but that is probably his upside. He actually plays a little softer than AM for that matter.

Pretty cheap for a young player who just had a 52 point pace.
Is he still an RFA at the end of the deal?

Not that Tkachuk compares directly to Kyrou, nut comparing the players is interesting.

Tkachuk (who is 7 months younger than Kyrou b the way - 349 games played, 110 goals, 278 points, 357 PIM.

Kyrou - 99 games played, 19 goals, 47 points, and 12 PIMS.

The St. Louis 1st round is the only asset remotely interesting.

The Blues desperately wan to ditch Tarasenko should be throwing in another 2023 1st rounder. An expansion team passed him over.

The rest of the player are throw-in. Thomas is replaceable from within the orgnaization.

But we got 49 games of Brian Elliott!
Brad please keep our picks, unless there for Jack Eichel

It will be interesting to see how this season goes for him. He is penciled behind Perron and Buchnevich on the right side. He will need to greatly improve his 200 foot game to get more ice time from Berube.

Blues have some slots to figure out

??? - ROR - Perron
Saad - Schenn - Buchnevich
Sanford - Thomas - Kyrou
Barbashev - ??? - Sundqvist

Center looks even worse if they move Schenn to left wing, which would depend on Thomas developing into a top 2 line center.

Kyrou's defensive game is weak, and had his defensive deficiencies covered when playing with ROR (when Perron was out), or playing with Schwartz, who is gone.

That gap on top line LW is big reason why Blues fans fantasize about Tkachuk.

I think Schenn on LW, and a trade for someone like Backlund as 3rd line center and defensive conscious for Kyrou would be a great fit, and maybe a decent chip to get a salary-retained Tarasenko
