Default Online Vehicle Registrations

Has anyone tried renewing their vehicle registration online recently?

I’ve done it for years but now they have changed the process and it links with your Alberta ID. I get through that part and enter the vehicle information and then get an error that says . Error please attend a registry agency.

I’ve tried a few different browsers and emailed the help people but of course they couldn’t solve it.

Any body have any success doing it?

Do you owe fines? You’d need to clear those up before you can do it online.

I had this issue back in January! The AB system sucks. Use these guys, they have their own online system independent of the province. Plus the have great customer service.

I had no problems a few months back, although I thought it was pretty stupid I have to visit a government website to pick a drop down that gives money to a private company in order to register a vehicle.

That system is not independent of the province. It links right back to it and I have the same issue.

I guess I will have to go to a registry.

Was able to successfully renew 2 of our 3 vehicles. Both of them had one registered owner. The one we were not able to renew online was the vehicle that had both myself and my wife as the registered owner.

This seems to be more similar to how I did mine. It was thru "optionpay" not the crappy province version. Wonder why north hill registry changed their set up.

I tried the vehicle with just my name on it and it still doesn’t work. Annoying!
