This would be a great trade if their defense already wasn't a tire fire. I like Foegle as a player and he will help the Oilers forward ranks no doubt. Now just to address the number of pucks sliding past their goalie.
The only likeable Oiler is now gone - good! I hope Bear's career really takes off in Carolina. They have been excellent at drafting and developing defencemen, and I hope he flourishes there. As for DeAngelo - my bet is that he doesn't finish the season in Carolina after doing something stupid.
For Foegele? That's actually a pretty good hockey trade for Edmonton.
Bear was terrible down the stretch for the Oilers and you knew he wasn't long for the team when McDavid was mocking him on the bench. Good trade for the Oilers unfortunately as Foegele isn't terrible and just can't score but they have that covered already.
I'm not sure why people think Foegele is this amazing get. Look where he was playing. Look where he's playing now.

Wow, ok, wow, like its a decent hockey trade, but that Blueline in Edmonton even with Barrie coming back is going to be god awful in its own end and pinned a lot, and with the poor defensive work by the Forwards a lot of fun to watch with an epic collection of this guy score memes.
