Seek the daily doubles in double jeopardy but just to block them out of a comeback. Bet more conservatively.

He's one of those contestants with a really wide range of knowledge. There are few categories he doesn't do well on.

Could go on quite a run.
He does my biggest peeve in Jeopardy though.

I always find it interesting that the "who is" is fairly common use but rarely does someone use "Where is" or even more rare "when is".

No to Blossom. She was good at the start but became more Amy Farrah Fowler like as her time went on.

Geordi La Forge is getting better. I'd love for him to be the new host but Buzzy or Ken are also good picks.

Flat no to Joe Buck.

I like Matt. Kind awkward but super smart.

I just wish the question was grammatically correct. I find it odd that it doesn't have to be.

I was excited for Levar coming into last week, but was extremely disappointed with him as a host. He made a ton of mistakes and relied heavily on cue cards. I think he's fully out of consideration for the full time job, and I'm glad we have a new host next week.

Totally agree. The games seem for lack flow too. Personally I found his "overly enthusiastic YES" to correct responses irritating.

Mayim made a mistake in her last show during the daily double in the jeopardy round. She told the contestant she was tied with another contestant but was not.

Rodgers' performance reflected his background of watching game film. Rodgers is the only guest host I noticed that treated the chosing of a Daily Double answer in the same manner as Alex.

A: This complete unknown, who shares a name with Kramer and a former resident of dry island, is going to be the next host of Jeopardy?

I'd be good with that choice. And he's not an unknown. Beauty and the Geek!
He knows the game well and from watching B&G he's got a really good and dry sense of humor that I think would emerge more over time.
And clearly he was close with Alex.

Might be the boring choice. But I'd be good with it.
The guy this week is as dull as unbuttered brown toast.

But man is the champ on a run. He could go a while. Bit of a scare yesterday that required him to double up on the daily double in DJ. If he had gotten that wrong it would have been tight. From there he ran away with it.

optics are pretty ####ty.

what a coincidence that an exec producer of the show is going to be the host, and has been in negotiations for some time.
one with multiple lawsuits that he's been named in.

the guest host thing was just a charade.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainmen...ersy-1.6132368

"It was kind of jarring to see the executive producer be the one who is reportedly going to become the host,"
Some fans on social media compared Richards to Dick Cheney, who led George W. Bush's vice-presidential search before being named vice-president himself.

Optics aren't great (the dick cheney comparison is funny) but Richards was a top 3 for guest hosts. His pacing was great and he didn't take over the show.

The idea of getting cancelled because he was an executive producer who was named in two law suits related to termination and harassment is hilarious if not sad

and Jennings tweets may cancel his chances.

ok, so he's top three according to some. what makes him better than the other two, for example? or several of the others?
especially as the others didn't have the luxury of experience with the show that he did.

I'd like to see Jennings, Bialik, Buzzy and LeVar get more time as hosts.
sort of a second round of interviews now that they've gotten their feet wet.
won't happen of course.

few other articles,
in which he defends himself and others who lament a choice that maintains the lack of diversity in hosting.

let variety sum it up.

A Sony Pictures spokesman said discussions were ongoing with several potential candidates. He would not comment specifically on Richards’ status. A source close to the situation cautioned that there’s no certainty that the sides will close a deal and that other candidates remain in the mix, although Richards is clearly the front-runner.

The competition to replace Trebek was fierce. It’s understood that Bialik and Cohen were among the standouts who have also been strongly considered for the permanent job.

I don't mind the idea of giving some of them more time. But Levar wouldn't be on that list. He'd be near the bottom of my list.
He simply wasn't good at all.
Love the guy but anyone advocating for him is looking past the fact that he kinda sucked when given the chance.

It didn't need to be a celebrity and it's probably better that it isn't. Richards is a fine pick.

I enjoyed Bialik and was surprised that others didn't. She kept the game moving, with the right amount of personality.

I'm good with these choices.
