Treliving scouting the Sabres AGAIN. This would be back to back games he is watching them. He was reportedly watching the Sabres/Canes game on Saturday.

Kane is still concerning to me, in whether he has matured enough in how he does his public interactions. A distraction like some of his in the past could cripple this season.

Reinhart would be a nice add as we need some more RH players that can play in the top 9 moving forward but who do you move? Do we want to give up on Bennett who has more tools?

Kane would be a fantastic addition to our team. Don't see how we came make it happen tho unless Brouwer or stajan goes.

I could honestly see a Bennett for Reinhart deal.

Both guys get a fresh start.

Western kid in Reinhart comes closer to home, Bennett goes closer to his home in Ontario.

Flames could use more RH shots, Sabres could use more LH shots.

I'm not sure I'd like the deal - I think Bennett might provide more outside of offense than Reinhart - but could see why both sides would do it.

I said I was concerned with his off ice history, not that he isn't a good player. He has lots of things we need. Points and toughness/fighting at the top.

I don't see a fit with Reinhart, the Flames need the grit and speed of a player like Bennett more than another finesse guy.

Given the struggles though I could see a deal of Bennett and a smaller asset for Kane and a top prospect like Nylander, who I bet the Flames covet after scouting him so hard in 2016 before being shocked Tkachuk fell to them.

Just too bad Kane is a UFA... no way is he going to re-sign in a small Canadian market again in my estimation.

Tough to see the Flames trading for Kane with the lack of draft picks they have this year.

But he's a massive upgrade on Ferland so there's likely interest. Something like Bennett straight up for Kane out of the question?

Thinking back at the draft, I said to my nephew that either Sam would be fine. Fast forward to now, I really don't like the Sam for Sam swap. I like our Sam more because of his edge.
