Default Notes from Nov 23 Practice: Hartley says Russell should play tomorrow

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
No Russell this morning. Hudler, Jooris, Brodie, Smid back on the ice after missing Saturday's practice. #Flames

Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
Brian Burke taking in practice at the Corral this AM.

Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
Ramo/Hiller is taking the majority of reps in net off the hop. Ortio off on the bench now.

Just waive Ortio and call it a day already. What are the chances he gets in the net once Hiller returns?

With Poulin injured did we call anyone up from the Thunder? If not it's looking like Ortio is the odd one out right now...

If Tre and Hartley can fandangle this awkward goalie situation into a playoff berth this year, I will never question them again.

Make sure you give 99% of the credit to the fact the Flames play in a joke of a division. A special thanks would have to go to the NHL for the new playoff format too.

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Without Russell, #Flames pairings today are:
Giordano-Brodie;
Smid-Hamilton;
Engelland-Wideman.
Should get Russell update shortly.

Hiller very close to returning. Won't back up tomorrow but could play on the upcoming road trip. #Flames

Looks like Ortio will be waived in the near future.

Hudler missing.... Russell should be in....

So what you're saying is Hudler+Russell+ got us Hamonic?????

I want to see more of Bennett playing on the same line as Gaudreau

Derek Wills brought up in the post game if Hudler is able to go against Anahiem do you play him? Both Pat and Lou shot that down pretty quickly, but whether this is a case of him still not being 100% or sending a message, it might be the best time to do it since Raymond looked semi-competent playing with Johnny and Mony

I'd sit Hudler.

The team played its first complete game in a long time on Friday. Let Jiri get his mind back on track and maybe he'll have a comeback like Wideman did last year.

I wonder if the lack of a contract is effecting Hudler's play.

Mr Hudler should take a page out of Mr D. Jones' book.

Play lights out in contract years, coast the in-between years. Hudler is doing the opposite ha ha.

Hartley wouldn't confirm if we'll see Hudler sit out tomorrow or not. Says final lineup decisions made tonight. #Flames

Sit Hudler. We need Raymond on the top line so that he can score a hat trick to break the Honda Center Curse.

Bingo will then need a new server after CP melts down but we can deal with that later.

I'm really debating whether I should go to the game tomorrow or not.

Playoffs were fun last season (despite the losses) but the regular season has been brutal at the Honda Center.

I wish I had a surefire piece of good luck clothing I could wear and guarantee a win. Most of my good luck stuff has worn out it's luck though. Ugh decisions.

If they manage that I will personally buy a Wizard Hat for each of them and one for Burke.
