Additions, suggestions and corrections are always encouraged.

As in past years, please create independent threads if you wish to discuss this or that player. Idea here is to provide statistical and news updates without things getting cluttered with arguments. This thread should be one-click shopping for all your prospect info needs.

Is Jusso Puustinen no longer Flames property? I know hes not under contract..but do they still have his rights?

He put up 12 goals and 20 assists in 53 games in his rookie season in the Finnish National League last year.
He only put up one goal and one assist in 14 playoff games last year though.

So far this year in two games he has one assist.

I'm running with the premise that there's a two year window regarding European draft picks, as is current CBA understanding. This despite the lack of a comprehensive definitive NHL/IIHL agreement.

Thanks big fella.....pro bono work in setting this up is appreciated.

I find it strange that the team's official site can't do a better job of this stuff.

He was drafted just last year, so no need to worry about him being out of the Flames' plans just yet.

Do the Flames still have Pete Vandermeer..I dont see him on any of the 3 training camp groups..yet Boomers blog has him being at the practice today..anyone know whats up?

Quote:
Pete Vandermeer is tough. Giordano drilled him right in the chest with a slap shot and he didn’t miss a beat. Should have been a goalie.

Is he under contract? I was wondering because Capgeek doesn't have him.

He's on an AHL contract I believe, so I'm not sure if it counts against the cap as he can't be called up to the NHL unless he earns an NHL contract. I could be completely wrong, someone is welcome to correct me.

Speaking of folk like P. Vandermeer I've got an open question to anyone who knows more then I... with the Wranglers ending their affiliation with the Flames organization, where are the surplus players going to play? I mean, assuming each team retains 13 forwards, 7 d-men, and 2 goalies that leaves us with at least 6 people with no roster to play on correct?

Nemisz with 1 assist tonight in the Spitfires 6-5 shootout loss to Plymouth.

He scored a nice goal in the shoot-out, but unfortunately Windsor couldn't pull out the win.

Nice comeback however from a 5-2 deficit with 4 minutes left in the game.

Lance Bouma with 1 goal (but -2) in Vancouver's season opener against the Kelowna Rockets.

Can't listen to it at work, but interview with Bouma regarding his Flames camp experiences at this link: http://www.vancouvergiants.com/news/0910/0917.htm

2 goals for Nemisz tonight, but the Spitfires still fall 4-2 to the Knights. Unice is kinda sucking hard in the Windsor net.
