For those keeping score the 19 year old is

30GP 11G 10A 21Pts

That makes him second in points for players under twenty-one in the Allsvenskan. That is with him missing a handful of games for the world juniors.

Not bad for the Flames to find a player a head of his peers in the 7th round.

Looks like Sveningsson is in the coach's dog house for some reason.

Was the 13th forward and had 0:27 and 3:59 Ice time in his last 2 games.

I was wondering what was up with that. It sounds like he will be on the top line today, when Oskarshamn plays Lindstroms BIK Karlskoga.

It should be fun to see the result of two Flames Prospects going head to head.

Svenningson had a powerplay goal today. He now has 12 goals on the season.

Svenningsson is one of 5 finalists for the Guldgallret, an award for the best rookie season in the Allsvenskan

https://www.hockeyallsvenskan.se/art...ldgallret-2019

edit: guess it isn't technically rookie, but U20 player

previous winners include Filip Forsberg and William Karlsson

This one is a very late update.

Last Friday Filip Sveningsson scored his 13th of the year.

Sveningsson's 13G 12A in 41 games does not seem that impressive at first glance. Still, Filip Sveningsson is ranked 2nd in points for players under 20 in the Allsvenskan, and he is 5th for players under 22. In his own context he is having a good year.

His team Oskarshamn also having a good year. They are second in the league, and are a lock for playoffs.

Svenningsons team Oskarshamn ( ranked 2nd) is currently in the HockeyAllsvenskan Promotion - Playoffs. this is where the top two teams of the league play in a best of five series. The winner is qualified for games in Direct Qualification for SHL. ( which I believe is where they compete with the teams up for relegation in a tournament). The loser has to go through the traditional playoff format. This is at least how I interpreted these translated rules.

http://www.swehockey.se/tavling/Seri...keyAllsvenskan

Either way

The series is currently tied 1-1 with their next game being played tomorrow at 12:00pm

Sveningsson has a single assist so far in the two games played.

Just to recap Filip Sveningsson's season, he had the most points of any player in the Allsvenskan under the age of 20. His stat line for the 2018/19 regular season was
43 GP 15 G 12 A 27 Pts

Not bad for a player drafted in the 7th round.

In their relegation series Oskarshamn is down 3-2 after a loss today.

In those five games Sveningsson has two assists. One of which he tallied today.

The next game will be April 6th and it is a must win for the good guys.

Last Saturday Oskarshamn managed too pull out a win in over time forcing game seven.

Sveningsson registered another assist bringing his total for the series up to three.

Game seven is on today at 11:30 MST.

And Just like that, after a commanding 3-0 win, Oskarshamn is in the SHL .

It sounds like Filip Sveningsson has been struggling with some injuries this off-season. It's hard to tell exactly what is up because most of the news on the subject is behind a pay wall and in Swedish. Either way he did not play in the season opener.

Sveningsson scored his first of the season today. The jump to the SHL has proven to be difficult for him.
