I LOL at all the people that were chalking up Hamilton to be so good. Saskatchewan has literally done nothing all game and there are 2 minutes away from beating Hamilton the Tiger Cats should be ashamed

The absolute lack of quality in a 9 team league is shocking. I really think there's maybe two decent teams in the league, and the rest are just mediocre to terrible. I think they need to look at the ratio. This has just been a terrible product so far this year

Masoli was awful in this game but June Jones had a poor night calling the offense as he seemed as confused by the Riders defense as Masoli was. It's kind of weird how Hamilton managed to play worse than Montreal as the Riders were horrible on offense again. Hamilton is just an average team at best and kind of got exposed this game.

There are 3 teams in this league worth watching. Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. Maybe 4 if you want to throw Ottawa in there. I keep hearing from the TSN talking heads that the talent in the league has never been higher, but it sure isn’t translating on the field. That game was just brutal to watch. The CFL is in trouble. They can’t even sell out their brand new stadium in Saskatchewan and the other two teams who historically have been pulling up the attendance (Calgary and Edmonton) have loads of empty seats with geriatric season ticket holder bases that aren’t going to be replaced as they continue to turn over. Calgary rag-dogging Toronto at home to start the year was also brutal for the league. No sure why the CFL would schedule the Argos first game of the year against an annual powerhouse regardless of it being the two teams from the Grey Cup.

Really with short training camps and two exhibition games I would argue that the first 3/4 weeks of the season are basically exhibition quality games that count in the final standings. I would expect the quality to improve over the coming weeks. Last night's game was ugly but that's because one team didn't have a professional caliber QB on their roster and the other one simply took their opponents for granted and didn't play very well.
