It is not. Still blocked on both sides, I tired this morning.

Anyone with more clout than me want to message the City to ask when it will be open? I asked on Facebook and on Twitter and nobody ever responded to me.

I got a crappy generic "there's still construction, it will be closed until completed" answer. So next summer? Ugh.

If there are workers around when I'm heading home, I'll ask them.

Yeah I got the same "sometime in summer 2018" answer. I pressed asking if they could at least give an estimated opening date, no luck.
That's a load of garbage in my opinion, they'd never give a "no idea" type answer for a road.

Yeah, I ran into the same issue this morning. I was really looking forward to not having to cut through the zoo and Bridgeland...
How are people taking this detour? Some cyclists I see go over the bridge and ride the wrong way down the onramp... is that safe/legal? The back way through Bridgeland is a sheet of ice, and the road can be sort of sketchy, and much longer.

When I'm coming home I'm heading south on St. George's, climb the hill and take a right turn at 12th street NE, left at McDougall Road and then drop down to the Bridgeland LRT to get up and over Memorial.

I go the wrong way on the ramp in the mornings. I make damn sure no one's coming, then dart in the left where it's protected.
Afternoons, I ride the ramp with traffic and take the lane.

Am I a bad person because I want to throw an old hockey stick through the e-bike guy's spokes when he flies past me unannounced for the umpteenth time?

Good news on the zoo path: FWIW, I talked to a guy working there today. He said they're finishing up some smaller stuff, might be open as soon as next week.

Has anyone biked through 12 Mile Coulee recently? Is it ok to ride without studs?

I hit 6000km today! Feels pretty good most days. Some stupid old injuries that bother me from time to time.
My focus for next year will be even more mileage and I will work on getting faster.

As of 0645 just trace snow on the pathways, good grip underneath. While it looks cold just dress for the temp or you'll get sweaty (as I did).

First sign of interesting riding approaching! It's been awhile, though like Bigtime said, the ride in was easy-peasy.

Wind was more of a pain in the ass than the snow.
Thanks for the heads up on the conditions.
