Same. Tucked our three year old into the corner of the couch with his favourite Spider-Man blanket, his favourite drink and a bowl of popcorn.

Onward is a great movie, very well done, as we expect from Pixar.

I've primarily been using Disney + for watching old Simpsons with my kids. They have also been watching movies and shows on their tablets. I turned on Onward for them tonight via Chromecast and noticed there is no 5.1 support. I didn't notice this with The Simpsons because they are old episodes and I just assumed it was normal. Does Disney + not have 5.1 support? WTH.

Not really for kids, small ones anyway, but we started watching "Lost Cities with Albert Lin" - good series, absolutely fascinating.

Ahhh I think Frozen 2 has been played in my house at least once a day for the past two weeks! My hatred is growing!

I've decided the worst part of all is the Weezer version of Lost in the Woods. It's a new low for Disney's post credit pop covers and might be one of the worst songs ever played during a Disney theatrical release. It makes me want to find a way to get back to Calgary, dealing with international travel and quarantines, so I can dig through my parents garage, find my old CD collection, and burn my copy of The Blue Album.

Like... the Bon Iver song? If that's the case I actually won't watch it.

Haha no it’s a different song. It’s an original sung by Kristoff in the movie that is 100% filler feeling out of place and doing nothing to drive the plot. Easily the worst song in a movie of mediocre ones. Then they have freaking Weezer cover it during the credits.

Boy, I disagree. I think the songs in this one might be even stronger than the first, both musically and lyrically. I will grant you that this might be out of place and not up to par with the rest of the music, but it's still an amazing REO Speedwagon-esque 80s throwback. I loved it. I thought it was a good choice to get Weezer to do the pop cover since they have a bit of that vibe in their music.

I'm listening to/watching Frozen 2 non-stop as well, but it could be so much worse. I really like the 2nd film and it's growing on me to the point where I might actually like it more than the first.

I'd take any of the Disney movies on repeat, my toddler is still in the Peppa Pig all-day everyday stage. And now she's starting to say certain words with an English accent

Lost in the Woods is the one song that is consistently stuck in my head. It may not be a plot driver, but I don't believe that was it's intention. I believe the intention behind the song is to tell boys that it's okay to have feelings too.

Finally got my daughter off Frozen 2. It’s still her favourite movie but it’s no longer being watched every day. I’m happy she now likes the original The Lion King since it’s enjoyable. I haven’t seen the remake but I’m not sure how they justified replacing Jeremy Irons. Just a perfect performance.

We also watched the new Elephant documentary. My daughter enjoyed it and I appreciated the cinematography. It was let down by Meghan Markle’s mediocre narration. She’s definitely no Attenborough.

Updated Disney+ power rankings:
1. Frozen 2
2. Frozen
3. Tangled
4. Lion King
5. Finding Dory

FINALLY signed up to watch The Mandalorian (I know I know) and am surprised Disney+ doesn't mark episodes/movies as watched? Just "continue watching?" Am I missing something obvious here? (on Samusng Smart TV app, fwiw)

With a short run show like Mandalorian it's no big deal, but something like The Simpsons I watched three or four random episodes and have no idea which ones I watched.

Had family movie night as well Friday and watched Togo- Wow it was much better than we all thought (especially me!) Great movie for kids maybe over 5? Plus some of it I think was shot around here.

Nah I'm not gonna deny it, I shed some tears. I lost my Mom when I was 9, I can say that everything in that movie was very accurate for how it feels.

Filmed version of Hamilton with the original cast hits Disney+ on July 3. That will be huge.

Today's episode of the Mandalorian Gallery was super interesting and amazing to watch. The use of screens and video game engines over Green Screens/blue screen was interesting to watch.

Carl Weather's talking about shooting the lava tunnel scene in the Volume and Gina talking about getting actual motion sickness when you understand how this works was amazing.
