Flames have shown interest in Tyson Barrie. Discussed Brodie for Barrie 1 for 1
This links up with what Friedman said yesterday on Vancouver radio

More Trade Bait talk on @SportsCentre- I believe at least 4 teams have showed interest so far in #Leafs pending UFA D Tyson Barrie: #Canucks, #Flames, #VegasBorn, #LetsGoCanes. Only way Barrie gets dealt is if TOR finds better fit on D, or gets pieces to flip for that better fit.
update:
Seravalli on TSN says one of the proposals between the Flames and Leafs is Brodie for Barrie 1 for 1

been reported that Toronto is on Brodie's no trade list. Apparently added after the Kadri trade was nixed.

I'm not as anti-Barrie as most, because I think the Flames need a pure powerplay specialist on the back end.
For me, the bigger problem is that he's a pending UFA.

Hanifin for Domi would be okay but not Trochek at least Domi is a couple years younger and someone we can sign for 6 years. Trochek is 2 years from UFA but has a great contract but only for 2 years.

Has there been any update on Valimaki? Hes been skating on his own for about a month now. I have to assume if we're looking to add another d man hie's not going to play at all the rest of the year
