Doesn't anyone clean the camera lenses in that dump of an arena?

This is such a weird sport sometimes.

Last week, Ottawa rolls through Western Canada, sweeping all three games and outscoring Alberta 12-1 in the process. They did all of this without their captain and one of the best players in the game.

So, what happens tonight? Karlsson makes his season debut as they play the Canucks at home --- and get shutout 3-0.

Remenda: "This is why the team likes Yamamoto... he gets the puck in his own end, skates up through centre with it, doesn't see anyone to pass it to (because his head was down), so he dumps it in and chases after it, gets checked, but... that's why they like him."

That is good stuff.

It's the same thing as what happened to the Flames against the Sens.

First game back after a big trip there's often a drop off in play.

Edmonton I don't really have an excuse for, they're just no good.

They took the score off the screen for a while. I figured it was like Novice hockey where they quit counting after six.

Watching the Hurricanes I have one comment. Don't start Lack on Thursday. Flames haven't so much as hinted at it but if the thought crossed their mind...

There's just something about that first home game after coming back from a long road trip.

I wouldn't start Lack until Smith has a bad game or gets dinged up. Have to bank as many early season points as possible in the case injuries or slumps hit.

Re: Ottawa laying an egg
Not to mention the team dynamic thrown into flux with Karlsson being back. Puts pressure on them whether they realize it or not

What is the name of this play-by-play guy? I don't mind him for the most part until McDavid gets the puck. Once that happens it's like he instantly starts trying to beat his own record for how many times he can say McDavid in a single play. Drives me ####ing insane

Why do commentators always blame coaches for the too many men penalty?

I am pretty sure they didn't tell 6 guys to get on the ice.
