This is going to be an ugly season start for the Oilers. Pitts, Chicago and Washington will stuff their net like a turkey the way they're playing. Going to have to make a complete 180 and soon.

The jets just beat Carolina.
They are a decent team with some good young talent

Won't complain though. Oilers are going to Oil. E=NG

McLellan is sticking it to Talbot. IMO not wise given he's the only thing standing between the team and the draft lottery. If Talbot for a variety or reasons continues slumping that team is toast. They won't be able to win games in spite of goaltending like the Flames did last season.

Stupid Principe. "Could ever imagine a start like this against the Oilers"?
Staal should have said, "Yeah, they're no good".

They have not spent a single night on the road yet. And they have already had a 4-day practice session (7 practice days overall already).
3 of their 5 games have been against teams that didn't make the playoffs last year.
And they have been outscored 17-5 in 10 periods since the Calgary game.
But they're killing the Corsi!

Lindholm in really catching up with Monahan after a much slower start to his career. Looks like a great player now.

Just watching the Pens highlights there coming back to win, led by Crosby and Malkin.
Oilers aren't even in the Penguins' stratosphere and McDavid has a way to go yet.

Well he did have a lot of catching up to do but he does look good. I don't think he's going to be as prolific of a scorer as Monahan.

Agreed but he's looking like he could be the better overall player.

Tough to compare. Really different players. Lindholm a better defensive forward and has some playmaking abilities, but they seem to come and go.
Both players need to find consistency, and whichever one does is likely the better player long-term.
