Best Wii Party games?
Wii is a lot of fun in a group situation. I'm having a few people over for Christmas; other than Wii Sports, what are some good group titles.

Carnival Games is kinda fun at parties. It's a little ridiculous but you can also get it really cheap.
Big Brain Academy is good too depending on the crowd.

I personally can't stand the wheel, but just for a group situation playing casually I'd definitely have a wheel or two handy. People who just want to pick it up and play it for fun for a bit are going to want to play it with the wheel.

Mario Party 8, Smash Bros, and add another vote to Big Brain Academy.

There's this one collection called "Game Party" that has a bunch of bar games on it. Skee-ball, pop-a-shot, quarters, etc. The graphics are poor but it's a fun game for parties as people can challenge each other. Best part is that I found it for $20.
Looks like there's a Game Party 2 now.

Cranium Kabuki is alot of fun, esp if you have some Cranium fans coming.
Also votes to the new Raving Rabbids TV game - just grabbed that for a friend and we played it and had a ball....it can also use the WiiFit.

I have the WiiFit, I may need to give that a peek. And I have the original Raving RAbbids, and seem to recall there were some part games on there. I'll have to load it up and look.

The original Raving Rabbids is a lot of fun... and a bit sick and twisted as well (ie: the game where you have to squirt carrot juice into the rabbits masks is a bit sick with the jerk and shoot movements).

Mario Party 8 is like Uno. Addictive and it will destroy any good will you have towards your family. I still remember when my wife cut me off in the snowboarding mini-game for no good reason other than to make sure I didn't have a chance to take 2nd place overall.
The evil in us all is brought out in Mario Party 8. It's awesome, but beware.

WiiMusic is alright for parties, as long as a) you put some time into the game to try and unlock stuff before hand, and b) you don't mind playing a game where there's not really a points system or anything.
But being able to play so many instruments is pretty cool.
If you need the competition aspect to your party, and like music games, stick with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

I would strong recommend Warioware: Smooth Moves for any party situation; the only problem is you have to unlock Multiplayer mode, by playing through the entire single player mode (which could take a couple hours), which is kind of stupid. If the issue is time sensitive, then skip this game and get it for next time.

Mario Super Strikers is the most fun mutli-player game I've tried so far. Not sure if it qualifies as a "party game", but great for 2-on-2.
