Smith can’t be defended anymore. I actually like the guy but enough is enough. Give Rittich a run of games and see what he can do. Can’t possibly be worse than this nonsense that Smith is dishing up

Can’t win them all. Great effort. We win with average NHL goaltending. Time to give Steve Mason a call in case Rittich falters. Flames should be telling Smith if wants to save face to go on IR otherwise he’s on waivers.

We have been luck so far that the team has been able to overcome terrible goaltending by Smith.

That caught up to them tonight.

I really hope Smith sits his ass the next 10 games. Without that first goal we'd at least be going to OT

Terrible first goal by Smith. Multiple glorious chances by the Flames miss.

Sucks, onto the next one.

Getzlaf did the Hockey 93 backhand move in close quarters. I was hoping hamonic would have done the goalie shove.

Tough to dominate, tie the game up, only to have your goalie give one up right away.

Status quo game for Smith. 87.5% for this game, and 87.1% on the season.

I'm proud of the team for not being demoralized after the first period. They showed a strong effort overall.

I hate the Ducks.

The Getzlaf goal drained the third period mojo. They were crushing them until that point. Everyone looked unsure of themselves in the last 5 minutes. Weird given most of the game.

Ducks get so goddamn fortunate in their building. 3 or 4 empty nets missed. Meanwhile they cash in on their few chances.

Pass the ball to Rittich.

Put Smith on waivers and hope someone picks him up. Playing Rittich as the starter can't be much worse.

Smith's NHL career is over.

Next year's new Stampede food should be Mike Smith's head on a stick

Why not Lehtonen? His numbers from last year aren’t bad
Not sure that Mason would be much better than Smith

Flames can't always have the second best goalie on the ice. Hopefully Rittich gets the next few, even though he didn't look great in Chicago he has been the better goalie of the group.

First game in a while where I didn’t think they’d come back. But that’s mostly because it was against the frickin Ducks. That team has our number.

Yeah well Smith is also one of the worst goalies in the game, suppose that balances things out.
My favorite was those 2 saves in the third that were going wide anyway.... Hrudey made them both sound like key stops until they took it back to replay.

It's one of his very few downsides as the color guy.

I mean, not much more that hasn't been said, but it must be nice having a goalie that can make a save or two.

The second goal was bad too. Just a wrister though a big gap turned into the juiciest of rebounds. That just can't happen, especially after the putrid first one.
