With the announcement recently of Stone Ocean being animated I remembered this thread. I’m partial to Diamond is Unbreakable myself but that’s probably due to Okuyasu being the greatest. Will be cool to see Weather Report in action though.
I always forget this is a thread lol. Just wanted to say, anyone who's interested in the Trash Taste podcast that Girly posted a few posts above, last week's episode with Ladybeard was awesome.
Wow Those Snow White Notes from this year is really good. About a kid who learned shamisen from his grandpa, but loses his "sound" when his grandpa dies.
I'm not a big shamisen fan or anything but the music in the show is really good and those are my favorite kinds of shows.
Nice slow show driven by characters, it's great so far.

Just finished watching Invincible. It was really good. Had the best twists from a superhero show/film I’ve seen in a long time. Curious to see where it’s gonna go next.

On a recommendation, I've been watching Symphogear for a while now. I'm currently on Season 5. It's excessive and silly, but in a good way.
+ Over-the-top story, action, and power creep. The showrunners embrace it and joke about it regularly.
+ Cliffhangers you'd reserve for the end of a season are being deployed every couple episodes
+ Later seasons are really well animated
+ and - The show is surprisingly dark at times, only to swing right back to the sugary sweet side of things. You might only want one of those, though
- Plenty of overly predictable moments
- Regularly shoehorning narratives into the show that feel out of place, and then never touch them again
- Excessive fanservice
I guess the best thing I can say about the show is that every time I think I'm starting to lose interest, they immediately find a way to get me back into it. I suppose that's a sign of a good show!

Ive read the comics, set your expectations to the moon. The full story is an incredible epic, youve only gotten a taste so far. Same writer as the walking dead. Its still a long time even before space-Freddie Mercury shows up ( not a spoiler, but when it happens you will know)

First episode of Bleach is out and man does it ever look good. If they're doing this quality of animation for the whole arc then they are really spending the $$.
The set piece at the start reintroducing the gang is great.
And they don't waste much time jumping into it. Uncensored too so they're not holding back on the blood or whatever when it warrants it.
This season is crazy, there's soooo many shows that look worth watching.
