This is a few years old now, but I absolutely devoured this podcast about the Black Dahlia murder when it first came out:

I quickly skimmed this thread. There doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion of Flames podcasts. My favourite is easily "In the Dome". I've been listening to it for a couple of years now. Their frustration and anger as Flames fans really speaks to me.

Feels like unnecessary self-flagellation... but I might give it a go. Is it just a couple of fans talking? Guests? Any inside info? Gossip?

Unnecessary self-flagellation is what being a Flames fan is all about.
To answer your question: mostly just a couple of fans talking.

Robb Flynn's "No #####ing Regrets"
Have plowed through 30 hours + over the past few weeks. Having been a touring musician for 30 years he has insight and knows everyone, makes for great interviews.

With all the recent tension in Israel I started listening to a deep-dive history podcast about Palestine.

For the Hardcore History fans out there: Dan Carlin finally dropped the sixth part of his "Supernova in the East" series about Japan in WWII. A mere six hours long.

Lexicon Valley. If you know of, struggle with, or fear Southeast Asian languages, you'll have a good laugh at this one.

Just started - the dog is getting extra-long walks for the next couple of days. If I keep getting up at 4, might get it done in 2 days.

Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd have a new podcast called The Friendship Onion that is just delightful! I recommend it for LOTR fans.

Halfway through this one, and I’m ready for the nukes to save both sides.
Christ, what a horrible experience that must have been.

Just finished Hunting the Butcher about the work to track down the Butcher of Latvia. It’s very good if you’re into stories of finding and bringing to justice WWII war criminals. Season 2 coming later this year. Not sure what it will be about as this one wrapped up nicely.

Just finished Supernova in the East. What a horrible wretched experience the Pacific theater was. Some truly gut wrenching stories. Having kids myself, one has to imagine being in a situation of witnessing/enduring what some of these people lived through is the stuff of absolute nightmares.

I know that podcast doesn't get into this but the US drops two bombs on Japan, wins the war and just leaves. They helped rebuild Japan but Asia totally destabilizes and there is a Chinese Civil War, a Korean Civil War, and Vietnamese Civil War, and other smaller Civil Wars.
I've always considered writing a book that Asia would have been better off if Japan had won the war. You wouldn't have subsequent wars or the Cultural Revolution or North Korea. Maybe when I retire
