still just bleh. Cant put my finger on it, but even when they seem to be trying, its like they are stuck in mud. Just need a Bob Johnson type psychological kick, he was the master of getting players to switch it on.

Bob Johnson was the coach. Apparently, it took awhile for the “kick” to engage the team.

That iteration of the Flames lost to Montreal in the SCF.

Johnson was my favorite coach. But even with him, certain players tuned him out (Lanny and Peplinksi hated him). I always saw Johnson as more of a tactician than a motivator.
