NHL reffing is such a joke and I am so tired of the Bruins getting away with murder. Kadri is an idiot but anyone playing against the Bruins should be forgiven for coming to the belief that anything goes.

Looked like mostly head. There was some contact lower down though. McAvoy probably should be gone, but can see a reason why the refs only called 2 in an elimination game.

You're clueless on modern penalty and suspension criteria. it's not about elbows or leaving your feet anymore, it's principle point of contact. Principle point in this case was direct to the head.

Gutless minor penalty call by the ref, as he clearly seemed to be motioning game misconduct initially. It'll make it even more embarrassing when the suspension that's surely coming is announced.

So they throw Eakin out for a non hit, but Kelly Sutherland is 10 feet from that play and they don't call a major? This is everything they look for in a head shot call.

Yeah, like when they took some trepidation in handing out that major penalty against Vegas when it wasn't even a minor penalty. Call a spade a spade, NHL playoff officiating is completely lost and plays things by ear, time and score.
