Yeah he didn't get banished from the bench, he wasn't there during the Gulutzan years either I don't think

For the Sabres, it's a new coach but that's mostly all that's really changed. Should be a Flames win because there's nobody to fear on the Sabres other than 'the Eichel Tower'. That's literally it.
Sabres will miss the playoffs yet again despite their one superstar Eichel because most of the rest of that team suck ass and they sure can't play defense. Different coach, same players, no good.

He was on the bench during Hartley's era but didn't get fired with Hartley and Cloutier. Gulutzan got to come in and have two other coaches on the bench with him but the Flames kept Gelinas and had him be the coach from up above.

Regretting postponing a scheduled business trip to Toronto and doing likewise!

I am regretting my travel plans too. I came back home on Sunday, it would have been fun cruising Queen Elizabeth Way and posting during the game.

Repping here in Buffalo. My buddy and I made it to Philly and Pittsburgh.
Should be an interesting night.

Yup, to see Conroy behind the bench -- with Gelinas -- is nothing short of awesome, purely for the entertainment value. Nothing against Ward, but I hope the team comes through with a win just so Conroy can record his first coaching victory back in his home state of New York.

Have to love how sportsnet promoted every game on the network except for the Flames game. That and the Flames were left out of the opening montage
