I am glad to hear he got onto a team. I know his time in Calgary wasn't what he wanted or what the team wanted.
When I listened to his interview on 960 a few weeks ago, you could sense the sadness and frustration with the way the career has kinda gone. He felt he had another year or so in him and felt he had a good camp in Florida but contracts and cap got in the way.
He also described his time in Calgary and talked about some of the issues with the team, the coaching staff and how he handled certain things as a veteran. Looking at how described certain things, you can see why thing's didn't workout.
Flames wanted to give him a 3 year deal and they should have stuck to their gun's. I highly doubt that he had better offers and that 4th year really killed our cap situation.
Hopefully he can find his way and can finish off his career on his terms. He's a Calgary resident so I am cheering for him
