Weird swerve. Back when I used to do the CFLHorsemen podcast. We got the dream interview with Huf. We had prepared for the interview. And one of us brilliant interviewers decided to go into his NFL experience and asked Huf about his stats 1 TD and 9 interceptions in 9 games.
Huff gave us the bleary eyed stare and asked how many of us dummies had played in the NFL.
Anyways back to your discussion about the Bombers.

Granted I’ve only watched him on TV but IMO streveler struggles to see the field and can’t read the defence and isn’t a threat to stretch the field. I suspect he is easy to defend against, but I suppose we will know for sure by the end of October.
Of all the new QBs this season I’m most impressed with Dane Evans.

I agree with you on Evans, 100%. I'm really hoping the bombers brain Trust makes a play for him in the offseason

I hope the Stamps are getting the Marcus Ball of a couple of years ago because if memory serves, he was a pretty good linebacker.

Danny Austin is tweeting that it is a practice roster agreement for Marcus Ball - He also is tweeting that Cory Greenwood is missing practice for the 2nd consecutive day today.

Greenwood had a great season before the injury, especially considering he is a National. Certainly helped fill the large void left by Singleton's departure.
There are only five regular season games left, plus playoffs. Possible return for the Grey Cup?!? Looking forward to him coming back next year in any event...

Speaking of injured players, DD is not ruling out a Brescacin return this season.
The Calgary Stampeders still aren’t ruling Juwan Brescacin out for the season.
It’s a longshot that the receiver will return, to be sure.
He had surgery shortly after hurting his knee in the Stamps’ Week 7 win over the Ottawa Redblacks, and a betting man would put his money against a return.
But there’s still a chance.
“I’m told he’s not ruled out,” said Stampeders head coach Dave Dickenson. “I think it’s a little bit of a stretch, but I have been told he’s not ruled out for the year.”

I feel like we've said this same thing going back a decade now. It's crazy how normal mass numbers of injuries is to the Stamps.

Also, great to see Reggie Begelton back in for Saturday's game.

Saw this earlier, and the more you think about it, the crazier it is.
Just shows how completely dominant this club has been for a long time.

Interesting story about Bo Levi Mitchell's workout with the Vikings: https://3downnation.com/2019/10/04/t...-in-minnesota/
Quote:
“I was like ‘well, for one, I’ve never been anywhere in football and not won a championship as a starter. High school, DI, DI-AA, now here in the CFL. Everywhere I’ve ever been I’ve won a championship within the first three years I’ve been there. I can help you do that. I’m going to come in here, I’m going to take Kirk’s job,'” Mitchell said on The Bow Show which airs on Sportsnet 960 in Calgary.
“He was like ‘oh, no, no, n-n-n-no, we don’t want you to take Kirk’s job. We want you to come in here, help him with his eyes, tell him what you see, do everything you can to make him a better quarterback. But we need a good quarterback room, we don’t want you to cause controversy. At that moment I was like ‘well, I’m not signing with the Minnesota Vikings,'” Mitchell said.

On the one hand, I never tire of watching an Edmonton team getting their butts handed to them. However, the Eskimos might decide to get rid of Jason Maas and that would not be good.
