I like how they set that up, reminds me of the RDR ones leading to release. Love all the customization options too, this seems to be San Andreas' spiritual successor. Is it September yet?
EDIT: Also regarding SA, one bit of customization I liked in the trailer was how quick you could cycle through clothes. That little 10 second window with CJ in the changeroom every time you changed something got frustrating fast.

Looks unreal. I never did get to play San Andreas, looking forward to this one.

I still haven't played through GTA IV, played it for about 5 minutes but can't stand the xbox controller. Has anyone hacked a way to use your own controller yet?
My only concern is if you had to switch between the 3 characters in campaign, it would linearize the story mode part of the game. Such as the part where the player had to switch characters to snipe the enemies. They should keep all parts of the game as open environment as possible because it really is the strength of the series
I'm going to become the best tennis player GTA has ever seen.
I bet you'll be able to play multiplayer online tennis... until someone drives an 18 wheeler through the court.
Just think of the awesomeness of playing golf with buddies in multiple player. Until the 18th hole when your losing and you kill em with a Molotov cocktail just to watch your friends running around randomly screaming.

I hear its going to be both; some missions it'll force you to switch, and others you have the option to if you want. I agree I hope its not too many when it makes you do it, having the option a lot of the time should be pretty great though. Could replay the same mission 3 times and have 3 completely different experiences.
The big news is coming Thursday when R* releases the multiplayer video...but they finally got their interactive site up today, figured I'd mention it: http://www.rockstargames.com/V/
I know quite a few here love GTA's talk radio humour, if you click on the Leadership You Can Trust link in there, there's a decent campaign ad for governor. Basically just making fun of liberals and conservatives.
R* officially unveiled GTA Online; the MP part of V.
I'm not really an MP gamer, but it sounds pretty cool for those who are. Completely separate from V, they're constantly going to be building new content for it, and I've even heard rumours of reviving a Vice City setting for it down the road.
I'm also not really a big multiplayer fan, but the openness of it all looks fantastic. I really want to race Ferraris up a mountain and put the finish line in a creek at the bottom of a cliff.
