Clarification in the watchdog, please.
I'm about to do a trade that will put me in the red. But, I'm waiving one of those players immediately, which will then get me cap compliant. In a case like that, where there might be a few hours between when the trade goes through, to when the player is waived, to when the player clear, does the watchdog still bite, or is discretion used by the league to see that the GM is making the effort to be compliant?

As long as the GM shows he is taking action and has an immediate plan then you are good. The dog usually waits 48hrs or so to bite.
That doesn’t mean it’s ok to make a trade and put yourself 5mill over and then post a trade block and sift through offers for a week. ( I know that is not the case here, but just wanted to clarify for everyone)

The Hurricanes suffered a devastating injury to our key building cornerstone center Torrey Mitchell. We've signed unknown pylon to meet Ahl roster requirements.
Hopefully, the league won't be set back too much without the ability to market the game in the south due to looing one of our games most marketable players
Best wishes goes out to his family

There are currently 3 teams on the verge of getting bitten. I am going to give you until midnight to get rosters in order. The dog will be unleashed in the morning.
If you are not roster compliant please make the needed moves to fix this.

Your issue now is you are over the AHL limit.
