Given they deliberately dicked around with people who pre-ordered games like Red Dead Redemption 2 in the hopes they'd cancel and re-buy at full price, I'm not surprising they aren't offering any deals. But that's what happens when one company gets such huge market share.
What did they do? Push delivery back for pre-orders in hopes impatient gamers would cancel?
Cyberpunk 2077 (Feat. Keanu Reeves!!!)
Death Stranding
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Gears of War 5
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Doom Eternal
and then the continued games as a service improvements to Battlefield 5, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, and some more support for Star Wars Battlefront 2...
There's a lot of stuff dropping this fall that has me really excited.
...which just means it'll be another fall of me spending money and needlessly building a backlog that I'll ignore as I sink silly hours into Rocket League and replaying Metal Gear Solid 2 and the 10th remake of Final Fantasy X, because...I'm old?
For the PC crowd: greenmangaming.com has games on sale for 25% off including Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein Youngblood. These are digital downloads activated in Steam. Edit: use coupon code E3
If you’re going to buy Cyberpunk 2077 I’d like to suggest you buy it from gog.com. It’s owned by the developers CD Projekt Red who are awesome and deserve to get your money. You get all of the Witcher games free if you pre-order which is a hell of a deal.

Those Avengers character designs are awful. I hope the gameplay turns out to be fun.
Yeah they look awful. They’re all just weirdly generic looking people. I’m floored that they didn’t go down the path of building them around any of the many, many, many iconic iterations of these characters.

I just keep thinking to myself, maybe they have to enlist a ton of other cool characters too? instead of basically recreating the movies

I thought it was some weird feature that you can customize the characters to look however you want them to look. Lol, most of those guys look like people cosplaying the characters. Thor especially looks really offputting, like he's just some coach potato dressing up as Thor for halloween.
Ok, a remaster of Final Fantasy VIII was just about the last thing I expected.
It looks pretty bad.
I mean, I'm not sure what you can expect from a remaster of a 1990s game, but yeah. Probably should have just stuck to the PS2 ones. On the other hand, they'll probably never remake that one so this might be the best we get. FF9 might eventually get remade (after FF6, hopefully).

Yeah, I really do not understand Nintendo people. It's like they speak a totally different language. What about any of that was exciting? I guess a BOTW sequel is a big announcement given how many people liked that game (as far as I'm concerned it was massively overrated) but other than that, what did they announce that mattered and why does it matter?

I never could get into Final Fantasy so Square Enix's conference was tough to sit through.
I didn't even bother with Nintendo's since I'm not into stylized art games and any games that they would have that I would play have already been released on other consoles/PC.
Nintendo had head and shoulders the best presentation. New gameplay of good looking games actually releasing in 2019, expanding info and gameplay on already announced titles, some cool ports and remakes, awesome Smash DLC that people have been wanting forever, and then the easily the biggest new game reveal of the show.
I guess if you loved CG trailers, developer hype talk, annoying crowds, and vague promises, the other conferences might have been more interesting?
