Default Uses for an oldish Laptop

I have an older laptop with decent specs (Core2 Duo/Dedicated graphics/4gigs RAM) that I just don't really use anymore.

I was considering selling it, but I'm not sure I could get much more than 200-250$ for it.

I'm just wondering if there is something uber awesome and creative that I can do with it.

I already have a dedicated HTPC with boatloads of local storage, so a media server would be redundant.

The only thing I thought of was giveing Linux a shot, but that seems out of my realm of nerdiness.

Dedicated pron machine? Slap a apple sticker on it and throw it at a hipster?

This.

If not making any money is fine, donating to a worth while cause is the way to go.

Donating it would be good........but throwing it at a hipster is so tempting!

I made mine into a Dos Box.

You could also buy another TV for another room and have another media PC.

I would turn it into a Chromebook. Low resource requirements and good for a quick email check / document edit.
