Game 7 simming

Welcome to game 7 of the CPHL championship. It's all come down to this - a one game show down between the two old men of the CPHL. A renewal of an old rivalry. Winner takes all.

First period action....

We are just past the one minute mark. Jack Johnson has been a workhorse for the Wild, he rambles out of his own zone through centre. Dishes off to Eichel who gets around one man. Eichel winds up - oh it's a pass to Nylander - HE SCORES!!!!!

1-0 Wild.

Later in the first....
Nikita Zadarov in the box for slashing. Barkov wins the faceoff. Martin Necas comes off the board and flips it back to Hughes. Hughes shoots, tipped by Barkov and he SCORES!!!!

2-0 Wild after 1.

Early second period action. The Pens are down a man again. Discipline has been a problem for them so far in this one. Here come the Wild looking to make them pay again....it's Rickard entering the zone, spots Eichel cutting in. EICHEL. IS. IN. HE SCORESSSSSSSS. It's 3-0 Wild and Minny can taste it.

Pens in tough now, need a big Second to get back in it.

Still in the second here folks. This has been a tight series, but not tonight so far. But a chance for the Pens to get on the board here, as Seth Jones is in the box for roughing.
The Pens set up. All sorts of firepower out there for them. It's Joel Armia without now, back to Jose. Big slap shot - save Gibson - rebound and THEY SCOREEEEE! It's Thomas Tatar with just his 3rd of the playoffs but it's a huge one. Pittsburgh is on the board it's 3-1.

That goal has really changed the momentum as Pittsburgh is all over the Wild right now. And here they come again. It's Armia, what a game he's having, feeds over to Hedman on the right point. Quick pass to Tatar streaking off the wall. SHOOTS AND SCORES.

Tatar AGAIN! The Pens are within 1!!!!!

The Wild look stunned.
Off the face off and HERE COME THE PENS AGAIN. It's Huberdeau this time, quick chip to Couture....he's got a 2 on 1 with Rantananen. Couture fakes the shot and feeds it over - THEY SCORE. IT's ALL TIED UP!!!!!!!!! Mikko Rantanen with his 12th off the playoffs!!!!! And that 3-0 lead is now a distant memory for the Wild, thanks to 3 goals in less than 6 minutes from the Pens.

Time winding down here in the 2nd. The Wild are just trying to get to the room tied up so they can re-group. Tomas Tatar with a big shot, misses the net and wraps around the boards. Johnny Boychuk grabs it and sends it over to his partner Erik Gustafsson.

Gustafsson spots Hischier behind the Pens D and hits him with the stretch pass. Hischier has a break - he shoots HE SCORES!!!!

Oh that is a massive goal from Nico Hischier and the Wild come out of the 2nd period ahead 4-3.

Shots on goal in that period 18-6 favoring the Wild as Tuukka Rask was outstanding to keep his team in it.

Mid-way through the third in what has been a tighter period so far compared to that wild middle frame.

Martin Necas retrives a loose puck and sends it quickly to Jack Eichel - who looks utterly exhausted out there as the Wild have continued to roll him and Barkov out there as much as they can. Eichel now into the Pens end - quick pass to Nylander - HE SHOOTS AND SCORES.

BIG WILLY STYLE! There's the insurance goal the Wild have been looking for. It's 5-3 Wild. But with 10 minutes left this one is far from over!

We're into the final 2 minutes folks. The Pens have been unable to get their goalie pulled. Here comes Jack Eichel again into the Pens zone.
He winds and fires! Blocked.
Eichel again, wide of the net.
EICHEL AGAIN, misses!
Back to EICHEL for a third attempt - WIDE!
Now it's Necas - a goal here surely ends it. HE FIRES and misses too.

Boy what an missed opportunity there for the Wild.

And now here comes the Pens....

That could be all she wrote for the Pens! Coach using all his magic now.

The Pens enter the Wild zone. They need one here. But the Wild defense has been stifling in this 3rd period led by Jack MF'n Johnson.
Couture has it now. SHOOTS, blocked by Jones.
Huberdeau finds it - HE FIRES AND GIBSON ROBS HIM.
