Everything has gotten worse since Huff left.

My only worrry is him catching on with an NFL team for a few years, even if he doesn’t make it like his older brother.

Nathan missed one season while bouncing around the NFL.
It would still be worth it for the Stamps to draft him....he will be the best player available (at the most important position) by a mile. If it takes a couple years to find his way back to Canada, thats fine. Teams just cant have enough QB prospects IMO.
Missing the playoffs for the 1st time in 20 years sucks....but was also inevitable.

Stamps absolutely should be prioritizing Rourke as the first pick in the draft. This is an organization without a starting QB and it’s an opportunity to get one even if they have to wait a season or two.

Well I guess the positive to look forward to is getting the best Canadian QB prospect of all time?
I haven't watched him, but is that accurate?

I don’t have a lot of faith in Dickenson the GM. No guarantee he would take Rourke as he seems to think he can turn bums like Maier into starting QB’s. I could see him going OL instead.

We need o-line.
Typically Canadian QB’s are not worth it. Land Vernon Adam’s, then work on developing Bonner, or unearth another 3rd string with potential. No point keeping Steven’s as he’s rarely used even in the right scenarios showing the coach’s have no use for him. Schiltz gets the next three games to show if he’s the guy that we can move forward with or not.
Will Dave coach for what’s the best interest of the team or hitch his ride to Maier and ensure he’s fired as coach at the end of the season?

I don’t know. Stamps just lost to a Rourke led team that’s going to be an issue in the division for a long time. Best plan of action IMO is to nab the better version and build a team around him. He can draft OL in the 2nd round or with next season’s first round pick.

By the time Rourke is ready to come here we will get probably 2 more drafts to add to the oline along with American players for the line.
This team isn’t just an Adams away. We suck. The team in the trenches sucks. It takes time to build both sides.
We can try adams but he will just be chased around.

Rourke is 6'5 230. If he keeps up this play with Indiana the NFL might be calling.

And with that Sask win, the 20 year streak comes to an end.

Yeah, its weird to be out of the playoffs after 20 years. But to be honest, the football in the CFL and especially with Calgary is atrocious. I've lost a lot of passion for the game.
The Stamps aren't a quick fix away from the playoffs, but with this league who knows.
Both lines are just utterly bad. Maier is a nice kid, but he's not a starting level calibre QB, and he has what seems like a panic factor of 10.
I thought our defense improved in the secondary as the season went on, but this teams tackle skills are awful. We have a good running game, we have decent receivers but we don't have a field stretcher, and the offense is poorly coached and makes way too many mistakes.
This is a tear down. If I'm GM Dave I am going to every QB camp in Canada and the US this summer. I am talking to every NFL team to find someone that's good but off radar.
I am bringing back very few of the coaches.

Things have been going downhill for the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Elks in recent years.
This year, that trend has led to a forgettable finish for Alberta football.
For the first time since the Stamps (1945) and Elks (1949) joined the predecessor of the CFL, neither Alberta franchise will play in the playoffs this year.

It happens to all organizations eventually. I just didn't think it would get this bad under Dickenson. We all knew Huff was the man responsible for all the success but I was expecting the people under him to be able to carry the baton and not necessarily reach all the highs but at the very least have a minimum level of sustained success. The team has won 10 games in the past two seasons combined. That's pretty terrible in the CFL especially when you consider this season there's been a lot of mediocrity all around the league.
