Dumb question, why did the Bisons go for 2? 1 would tie the game and go to OT?

Isn’t the old rule, “if you’re at home go for the tie, if you’re on the road go for the win”? And if your team has put up 40+ points already, I can see letting your offence try to win it...

Already answered, but it was the right call since the receiver could have caught the ball for the win.

Is Sportsnet 360 not doing the Vanier Cup anymore?

CBC should be getting more into showcasing USports in general.

That's what I was thinking, but being an alumni of U of C and fan of the Dinos, I was happy that the bisons decided to go for 2.

I would have made the same call, you're lining up for a two point conversion on the 5 yard line with no time left, so its already overtime.

In OT you have to march the ball in.

Plus their offense had been putting up points. Hell yeah, I'm playing the two points.

Low percentage, in ot there is still gamesmanship and strategy with defence, seen it done before in college with same result.

Token McMaster fan checking in, huge win over Western today in the Yates. If Dinos can beat the Huskies, I'll be cheering Mac on in Calgary next week.

4-1 Dinos at halftime. Looks like a hockey game broke out on the football field

I just hope Sinagra is good to go for next weekend - Talk about paying the price delivering a TD pass.

Definitely the better team won on Saturday. Full marks for the Dinos.
Now two things for next Saturday...first, beat McMaster, and second, I hope a ton of people come out for what will be the last football game played by a Calgary team this year.

Hopefully, the weather will be conducive to get the fans out. By no means do I think it's going to be an easy game versus McMaster, but I certainly like the Dinos chances against the Marauders a lot more as opposed to Western.

If you have Telus Optik TV, you should be able to watch the Mitchell Bowl on Saturday. It also looks like CBC (cbcsports.ca) will be streaming the game (game starts at 3 pm Eastern time)
