OMG you're right. I even had Littlest Hobo but I got sidetracked. Sidetracked I tell you. I can't even watch the intro. Tears.

Gilligan’s Island too.

Edit: This show could achieve the rare double of also making the TV theme show Rushmore.

I might have to say Fawlty Towers, WKRP, Cheers and All in the family?

first 6-10 years of Simpsons though...and MASH...and Seinfeld...and MTM...and Happy Days, and Barney Miller and..hmm yeah good point family ties and... ugh
Funny you should mention this, I recently discovered that the NY station i get, happens to show this every Saturday...have DVR'd the last 3 or 4 weeks and hope to get to them this weekend.

I would put the hash brownie episode up there with any 30 minutes of comedy ever produced. Jack Soo was friggin hilarious in that one particularly.

The Mt. Rushmore is a hard one for sure...

Seinfeld
WKRP
Newhart (honestly any one of the iterations, dude is a comedic icon and completely unique)
Barney Miller/All in the Family (cant pick one over the other)

Sadly, Soo died of cancer in early 1979, removing (along with the departures of Gregory Sierra and Abe Vigoda) one of the qualities that made the show so special. According to show biz legend, Soo’s last words, spoken to Barney Miller star Hal Linden and uttered just before going into surgery, were “Must have been the coffee.”

What ever happened to Lisa Lougheed anyways. She was being positioned as Canada's next pop princess and then dropped off of the map. For the 80's this was a great theme song.

From wikipedia.

After the success of Peace & Harmony, Lougheed disappeared from the major music scene, most recently being credited for minor vocal work with Celine Dion and R. Kelly as well as on Oprah Winfrey's theme song. She was married to another singer, is now divorced and living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.[2] The couple had one child: Jared Rutledge, born in 1994.

Not to derail this thread, but this Newhart Finale scene has to be up there as one of the best all-time moments in tv history.

Its time for the name your favorite Happy Days character. It could be a main family member, it could be a one off appearance that caught your attention. Tell us who your favorite character was and why. If you want put up the scene that makes that character your favorite.

I'll start with mine.

1) Charles "Chuck" Cunningham

First of all, this wasn't some unknown fade to obsurity actor. Chuck was played by Gavan O'Herlihy. Better known as the jerk Brad in Superman 2, had a appearance in Never Say Never and Willow.

But the character of Chuck is a great character. Why, because one day he went up to get a basketball and was never seen again. Maybe he joined the army like Howard said, or maybe Chuck is part of the house's foundation, and one day when they reboot the series the first thing we'll see is the bones of Chuck.

After his disappearance the show played up like he never existed (Serial Killerish) to the point that at the end of the series, Howard proclaimed how proud he was of his "Two Kids"

Maybe Chuck dribbled the basketball one too many times.

Holy cow. I thought Chuck was only in one or two episodes of Happy Days.

Alice, The Jefferson’s, Cheers and Three’s Company.

I have to defend Three’s Company because it was a juvenile show, but that is what I was when it aired.

I loved it. So did my Mom. And I loved watching with her.

Alice, because it was a great show. It was funny, it was sad and it showcased a hard working single Mom who loved her kids and was willing to do whatever it took. Just like my Mom.

With the amount of characters and shows it inspired, The Honeymooners has to be in consideration for a place on the hypothetical Rushmore.

For those who get CHCH TV out of Hamilton, this afternoon they will air the fabled season 5 episode “Hollywood: Part 3". This is the one where Fonzie literally jumps the shark.
