I said this before but I hope the Jets were watching...pound McDavid, even if you take penalties and lose game one. Wear him down he is all they have.
"but drai...."
STFU McDavid is on the ice for 70% of his points

Benny gets a game for his hit on Coleman. McDonagh doesn't even get a hearing for his hit on Duclair.

^The Stamkos hit is not as bad because the Florid player turns his back into the hit at the last minute. Still catches him a little from behind if he doesn't turn, but it's more on the shoulder.
But yeah, the refs need to watch the dirty stuff from both sides.

They also slow the Bennett hit down so you forget he was going 35km/hr.
The Bennett hit, with everything that made it what it was (came on the ice to do something to Coleman, had him lined up from the top of the circle, full speed, Coleman stationary and staring at the boards) made it one of the worst hits I can remember. Lucky the outcome wasn’t an injury.
I hate Avery but I almost found it refreshing to see someone with the same expression on their face as I had.

A 100 times this.
If you watch the full clip, Bennett starts striding at Coleman from at least 35-40 feet away and with ill intentions.
People talk about predatory hits, this was a blatant as it gets. If Coleman had ducked his head a bit Im afraid of what we would be talking about today.
Remarkable that he didnt get tossed from the game regardless of when(in the game) it occurred.

The Stamkos hit is bad too, the distance from the boards was very dangerous for a head/neck injury.

It is. And there were other bad hits, not just those two. Refs need to start calling majors on them and it'll get cleaned up quick - a major penalty can be a series loss on its own.

Per TSN, Driedger was in the starter’s net at morning practice.

I'm pretty confident in Driedger. He's a very underrated goaltender and has outperformed Bobrovsky for good chunks of the last two years. Not flashy, nor as agile as Bob, but more stable and is tough to beat with a clean shot or tip. He's sneaky good. Kinda like Cam Talbot in style.

I would not be pleased if I was BOB. But also getting 10m state-tax free to hangout on a bench(beach?) with what I'm sure amounts to a supermodel waiting at home makes that pill go down easier.

1-0 TB as Florida allows yet another 2 on 1 down low and Stralman blocks the pass into his own net.

It's honestly a little baffling, especially with a coach as good as Quenneville in charge.
The forward group is skilled enough they could probably do some real damage without sending 1D each rush despite allowing 2-on-1s and 3-on-1s every other shift it seems.
