I’ve watched these compilations before. Half of the stuff is from tv and movies where she’s not the writer. I’m also pretty sure she hires writers for her standup too.
Her comedy is pretty basic so it’s not surprising to find some joke crossover. It’s like how late night monologues all sound the same. There are a couple of instances that look like blatant ripoffs but people have been going after her since day one and looking for reasons to #### on her.

Holy ****, that's a lot. If a musician or singer stole that much material they'd be blackballed, sued and never heard from again.
You are pretty naive as then as there's not much in music that hasn't been done before and the same goes with jokes. The music industry has always been ripe with plagiarism and it's increased twofold since the advent of digital music as today's pop music is largely based on artists stealing from others. I listen to a lot of metal music and it's hard to find an original guitar riff anymore and there's plenty of stuff in the genre that's recycled.

That’s not even considering legitimate cover songs. Music has always been about taking influences and hopefully building on them, but often so much just sounds the same.
Comedy has a rule against joke stealing but it’s still done, and often people do the same joke with a twist to “make it their own”. It’s impossible to be 100% original these days when everything is accessible.

Isn't there a quote from Keith Richards floating around about how he lifted riffs or cord progression?
I can't recall the exact context of the quote but it was along the lines of nothing is new under the sun.

I really wanted to enjoy Schumer on SNL, but I found the episode sub-par. she just isn't funny.

I didn't. Chapelle is very intelligent, that's for sure. I did like his latest special on Netflix, because it included not just his act but also conversations, which suggest that he is a deep thinker. But his entire act is about injustices done to the black people; almost all of his jokes are about or around this topic. At some point, it becomes too bitter and too aggressive to enjoy.

While I don't agree entirely I don't like his take that you can't blame antisemitism on black people. Yes you can if black people are being antisemitic, especially if they have power like Kenye and Kyrie do.
Just because you're part of a disadvantage race doesn't mean you can be racist. Dave seems to give black people, especially if they're friends, too much slack. No doubt white racists are attacking them for the wrong reasons but that doesn't negate the wrongs they've done.
On topic, I thought the sketches were pretty poor, but the monologue and Sarah's Weekend Update bit were strong. Black Star were tight.
Sherman’s news segment with vagina jokes was borderline disgusting, I thought.

I thought it was okay but the turkey joke was a bit off. Sherman roasting Jost was a lot funnier previously and I really enjoyed the attacks previously.
I see. So you didn't like the episode because you don't like black people or women?
I'm just kidding.
I thought it was a weak update altogether.
I've like Sherman's bits in the past, but this one, not as much.
