Who outside of the edmonton area is taking Draisaitl before MacKinnon if they were looking to build a winning team?

I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him at 5 on 5 unless he's surrounded with responsible players, whereas I can feel confident that Mackinnon is going to hold his own in his matchups and typically be leading the way in terms of his play and drive.

Turns out a ton of PP points on a man advantage with McDavid is enough to snag you most valuable player over a stud like MacKinnon.

Banner forthcoming for Dr Drai. A solid -7 and no playoffs.

But if so many writers for wooed by Lowe to vote him into the Hall of Fame, wooing same writers to vote for Draisital is a peice of cake..

Congrats Leon! More proud of him that he won The Ted Lindsay as that is voted by his peers which is a bigger honor IMO.

-7 is misleading. He was on the ice for 9 or 10 empty net goals.

On the Edmonton Oilers’ 2015-16 playoff hopes:
“Fantastic. I think for sure playoffs. I tell you who’s going to be lights-out this year is Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall.

“They went over to the World Championship and played with Crosby, which is similar to Messier and Gretzky. Not that they needed any encouragement but those two Oilers flanked Mario Lemieux at the crucial moment of the Canada Cup in ’87. Now you have two Oilers flanking Sid to a gold. You watch Eberle take off. He’s already been great in international hockey, but I think this is going to be his year, Taylor Hall’s year.

“And Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse will fit in. Gimme a glass of wine or a beer, and I think in two years they win the Cup. That may be a little eager, but I don’t think more than four.

Don’t know. They weren’t nominated, however they did, at the very least, get the team they played for into the playoffs. Something Draisatl and McHobo seem to struggle with.

Draisaitl was on the ice for the most EV goals allowed of any forward in the entire League. Minus-7 is most definitely not "misleading," except in that it is probably excessively flattering to him.

But, but, but he’s the MVP. He shouldn’t have allowed 9 or 10 empty net goals, surely he should have been tieing the score and then setting his buddy McHobo up for the winning goal in overtime!! Enjoy your 2 man garbage team!!

It should have been MacKinnon for the Hart, and probably what's his name for the Lindsay.

Draisaitl is certainly not the MVP the way it's worded but he put up a lot of points so that's something I guess.

And, Drai being a minus player as poorly as he was, meant that Selke nominee (Haas and his -1-lol) got the top 3 bonus which already pushed the Oilers over the cap 6 weeks ago.
