The guy is clueless. So he trades Hoffman for a bad contract? It would have been better to waive him than bring back 4mil of Boedker.

Seems strange to limit that. If he’s bad for the room, wouldn’t you want him IN conference. And if it’s all true your team will be motivated each time they play him.

The "in division" thing is stupid on most cases, but this time it's really stupid. The Sen's are tanking, how the division rivals do in the immediate future is irrelevant.

It is interesting though. Tallon said the reason he didn't deal directly with Ottawa is because they wanted a roster player.

Sens aren't tanking...not on purpose anyway. I highly doubt they give up four this year so why tank?

The crazy thing is if they give it up now, it’s like saying they’ve already thrown in the towel on next season. Can’t look good to ticket holders or the players they plan on keeping.

They may have no choice but to involuntarily tank. They’ve had to dump Hoffman for less than market value. They may have to trade Karlsson this summer. They were bad this year and may only get worse. If the keep four this year and finish bottom 3 next year it’s a complete disaster all around.
