Love seeing how over the top excited Ovi is to win this thing. It's the toughest trophy in sports to win, he's been savaged by his critics for years ( I was one of them). Enjoy this thing, Alex. You've earned it.

Not to mention the first ever Cup for the Capitals franchise as well, and the first major sports championship of any kind in D.C. since 1992. This is a big deal for that city.
Crowds were really large for the parade today. I would say, they spaced it out a bit too much for my liking, I waited well over 2 hours from the start time before I saw (in the distance) the final bus with the Cup. I was at 7th, so right at the end of the route, but still. Also, the knock-off vendors were making a killing!
We were just down the street! Here are some pictures of the parade today courtesy of my 7 year old. It was definitely a fun-loving crowd with beer flowing all around. Players trying to spray the fans, fans throwing beers to the players. Good time had by all.
