That is so wrong

Nada went to the refugee centre and told them the man’s real name and his ISIL name. The official there responded that she was too traumatized to be sure of what she saw. And then that person reportedly told her, “Don’t tell anyone.”

Take him charge him try him. The same with the jackass who wont on the pod cast and bragged about executing people and boasted that the government wouldn't do anything to him.

These people are scumbags, and someone who acts as a slave master isn't redeemable.

If we could hang him it would be better.

Haven't seen this thread necro'd in awhile.

Apparently BC has more than just crunchy hippie anti-vaxxers, they also have #######s on the other end of the spectrum that believe gay conversion therapy works.

That post is actually about transgender kids, not gay kids. I assume that she's wrong and that the various provincial bans on conversion therapy don't extend to banning counseling for kids that will inevitably talk about sex, including sexual orientation and gender identity that they might be dealing with. That seems pretty unlikely.

Where's the NDP bill in Alberta at on this? I recall they introduced it in the summer. I'm not sure that it's something parliament needs to deal with, the legislatures can handle it and so far are doing so.

The Anti-SOGI stuff is so embarrassing. The school board trustee meeting that went all awry was terrible to watch. I can't believe that some adults think that way. Seriously, what is in it for them to try to take away other peoples pursuits of happiness?

I don't know where to post this.

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cbsn...ar-2018-10-19/

I'm having a hard time not being a super judgy a hole right now. Are train tracks really the best place to sit for a festival? Did nobody think to speak to the train companies ahead of time? I'm sort of shocked.

Given it was a religious festival, I’m shocked their god didn’t save them.

Maybe we need a Darwin Award thread.

This is completely unnecessary. Not only do you seem to have no knowledge of religion, you’re going out of your way to be a complete ###### as well.

I apologize for hurting your feelings. My knowledge of religion is just fine, thanks.

My feelings are ok, thanks. I doubt you’re knowledge is just fine. Either they worship the wrong god, or religion is stupid, amirite?

Religion is kind of stupid (defiant/lacking of knowledge or common sense), but people subscribe to it anyway, and that’s fine enough.

I thought it was a good dose of dark humour.

I don't care what you believe in - don't sit on railroad tracks.

Initially, you insinuated that I was going out of my way to be an @$$hole. I had no intention but you are certainly doing so now.

In some foreign country a priest, a lawyer and an engineer are about to be guillotined.

The priest puts his head on the block, they pull the rope and nothing happens -- he declares that he's been saved by divine intervention-- so he's let go .

The lawyer is put on the block, and again the rope doesn't release the blade, he claims he can't be executed twice for the same crime and he is set free too.

They grab the engineer and shove his head into the guillotine, he looks up at the release mechanism and says, "Wait a minute, I see your problem...."

People are the worst. I remember reading about this story and I thought that it was so great. Back to seeing the world through cynical eyes for me.

https://twitter.com/user/status/1063164766997438470

Quote:
A homeless man living in Philadelphia and a New Jersey couple have been charged for allegedly working together to concoct a scam that led to over $400,000 in GoFundMe donations.
Quote:
As the original story went, Bobbitt, a Raleigh, North Carolina, native, first met McClure last October, when her car ran out of gas on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. Bobbitt allegedly spent his last $20 to buy gas for McClure. Moved by his kindness, she and D’Amico set up a GoFundMe page to help Bobbitt get back on his feet. More than 14,000 donated a total of $402,706 to the man.
Quote:
Prosecutors allege that Bobbitt, McClure and D’Amico made up up a false story to secure thousands in GoFundMe donations. Authorities said the couple met Bobbitt at least one month near a casino before they launched their plan.

wild. I've been following this.
The whole time I thought the initial situation was real and the couple just stole the money after the fact.
to know that it was a scam from the beginning makes them even more disgusting.
I can't get too mad at the homeless guy. I think if I was a homeless drug addict, I'd go along with it to get some money. what do I have to lose?

as for the couple, I hope their time in jail is made difficult for them.
