Might I suggest a nice warm bowl of "update your players info"?

When trading, I think one of the most frustrating things is going through a teams roster and seeing this:


If I have to add a few steps to each roster player I'm looking at, I'm probably not throwing in much effort and going somewhere else. I know it's only a few clicks, but it's only a few clicks for you too to make it that much easier for teams to make trade with ya.

The league now automatically does it when you sign new players (thanks!!!) but there's still lots of existing players with no links.

If you're not sure how:

Go here: http://cphlsim.com/rosters/
Click on "Modify Player Links"
Enter your password.
Click on the player you want to edit.
Open a new window. Find the HockeyDB or EliteProspects page of that player.
Copy the link.
Go back to the last page and paste the link in there. Any line will do (ie: An EliteProspects link can go into the NHL section if you want)
It's super easy. 30 seconds, max, per player.

I know, I know...


But for real...it makes trades a shwackton easier and quicker.

I also do the HockeyDB links, sometimes the NHL and rarely the NHPA (&*%# unions)

Should I be more diligent about adding NHL.com links or is having the Hockey DB enough? I don't mind doing it but I rarely ever look at nhl.com but I will if others want it there

apart from HockeyDB, I'd only really recommend Eliteprospects. They are better regarding Euro stats and also have tournament stats on there.

Agreed with Devo. I rarely even look at NHL.com stats.
HBD or Elite are usually the only two I look at.
even if you just have one link or the above is still better than nothing.

I think hockey dB is enough.

As for adding player links, which I’m all for, it would help if the commissioners would lead by example on this. You know who you are.

Dont you want trade offers GMs? This makes it easier for other GMs to see the players on your roster.

Sharks are updated and the very first time I have completed this task. Typically our roster turns over quick enough that I can just wait to acquire players with the links already in there. I guess when you don't trade like you use to, prospects get stale and sit without a link.

Anyways, finally got it done so everyone can now quickly see how awesome my prospects are.

For those of you browsing the Hurricane rosteryou might notice that NHLPA links are linked to capfriendly
