Only if they shoot them in the spring, nobody wants a greasy fall bear.

I've often thought we need a cull. I know the joke of Sliver not like bears or whatever, but the truth is these man-eating monsters are roaming free and hikers and other users of the park are basically defenseless against them. This is good news if you don't like being mauled by a bear.

If you look at bear attacks it’s often dogs that lead to the human fatalities so I think you are in a catch 22.
More seriously assess the risk of driving vs the risk of fatality due to bear in the activities you choose to do in the park. Then realize that other people are your biggest threat that you are defenceless against.
The people mauled by bears in general are against the hunting of bears so don’t presume to speak for them.

The documents and presentations done by my church are dramatically better quality than that. It's honestly not even close.

And it happened in the early evening when solar generation is rapidly weakening. With high Alberta temperatures correlated with weak wind, natural gas generators had to rapidly ramp up. Life for the grid would be easier if there 4 GW of coal/nuclear running continuously.

That was taken at 830 PM. That's when the sun is setting and an awkward direction on south facing panels and wind usually ramps down.
Got some stats for 12 pm? 3 pm?

I posted the 8PM tweet because that was close to when the grid alert was declared (8:25PM).
The 12PM data shows a lot more solar as expected but wind is still very weak. And when the sun is setting, that all needs to be replaced by ramping up natural gas.

Very nice. It proves that a mix of generation is ideal, and renewables continue become big pieces of that mix going forward (especially with more generation coming online).
Now, what about that 3 GW of natural gas electricity that was offline last night?

A lot of that is probably cogen(and not offline, just less than MC) and Cascade 2 shows as zero, but I think that's because it is still under construction. Firebag is mostly offline because of forest fires.

Sounds like incompetence in communication from AESO if the 3GW were not available.

There is pretty much zero reason to burn coal given the supply and price of gas. If we need more baseload, build those. We know how, they aren't hugely over budget, and can be done much quicker than nuclear.

I don't think either of you can math good enough to participate in a discussion on this topic. Maybe you guys are trolling, but IDK at this point.
