Johannes Kinnvall
Might as well set up this thread for the sake of posterity.
Kinnvall the 23 year old right shot D man is being loaned out to HV 71 this year. This is the team he played for last season (51GP 11G 29A 40Pts). HV 71 is a middle of the road team in the SHL, so far they're floating on the playoff bubble at 9th - last season they were 5th. Kinnvall is the assistant captain and plays on the top pairing. That said he floats around the 15 minute mark most games so far.
Yesterday Kinnvall got another assist, raising his total to:
6GP 3G 5A 8Pts
Good for second on his team and 5th among D men in the SHL.

I like his potential.
Being a RHS is a huge bonus as well.
He should push for an NHL job in 21-22.

I think he should be over in NA this year if a season ever gets started. He has nothing left to prove in Sweden, seems like he's a pretty dominant offensive player there.

He’s already committed to staying the whole year.
He mentioned it when he signed.
More time to build confidence and hopefully bypass the AHL short of an end of season appearance after his season is done in Sweden.

With a late start and finish for the NHL this upcoming season, I would assume he could move here after the end of the SHL season. Or is there some restriction in the CBA or NHL bylaws that prevents this?

He’s on the teams reserve list so I don’t think it would be a problem.
I haven’t researched it but I think he could come over and play. He defiantly could come and play in the AHL and I don’t think there would be a restriction to him playing on the big club either but I could be wrong.

A little bad news. Kinnvall's game will be postponed for a little while. There is a suspected infection of Covid-19 in the HV71 squad.

Not good news on the Kinval front
Kinnvall suffered a ligament injury in his foot and that he will be gone for several weeks.

Kinnvall is back to playing hockey. He's been back for three games. No other change in his stat line.
