Edit: Nevermind, I had 1.5mil in my head for Lucic when it's 750k. My bad

"DEAD SPACE" needs to be on the back of a jersey.

Thanks! Had 1.5 retained on Lucic when it's only 750k.
It's been added on Capfriendly. So confirmed?

Had they done that they would have had a $3M penalty for 4 years + whatever salary they took back in the deal.
What they did was trade him at 750k retained and pickup a 5.75M cap hit in return. For 2 years it cost them $6.5M against the cap. Now they are looking at $2.65M combined retention and buyout for 2 years, have 2 additional years at 1.9M for the buyout

Not to mention the 3rd rounder they gave up.

That turned into a 3rd and 6th.

Wow - those are huge differences! Thanks for posting these.
I'm struggling to get over these frustrating coaching decisions over the last several seasons, but the biggest reason for optimism next year (IMO) is a full training camp and season with Sutter at the helm.
That is the one big consolation for me if the team heads into next season with the core still intact. They are almost certainly going to have better results under Sutter than they've had under any of the last 3 coaches, save their 2nd overall finish a couple of years ago.
But not to further derail the thread, let me finish by saying #### James Neil and Ha Ha Stupid Oilers!

I'm sure its been asked a time or two but I don't fully understand how to read these charts.
SA=Shots against per 60 min
GA=Goals against per 60 min
HDCA = High Danger chances?
SCA = Scoring Chance against?
CA - ?

I believe CA is Corsi Against. The others you definitely have right.

Ok.... will someone sign him as a free agent. I know we think (know) he's poison in the room, that he lacks effort... but he has something to prove, like the first few months in Edmonton. He has been humbled, again, and maybe this time it will stick. Maybe if someone can sign him for 750,000 or 1 million - maybe that will be a good deal.
Being bought out should humble him, maybe, because we all know that not being protected from the expansion draft by Pittsburgh didn't do the trick, or being sat out in the playoffs in Calgary's most important game didn't do it, or being traded to Edmonton in a known bad contract for worse contract and a pick didn't humble him, or being demoted in Edmonton over his stay there, being placed on waivers, and being the richest guy on the Taxi Squad didn't.... or being sat out again in the playoffs again where his team was swept out didn't do it, but maybe this will.
I think he'll be singing ABBA tomorrow - Take a Chance on Me.
Is he worth a chance for a million or under?

Brouwer at least tried, his best just sucked and our awful coaches tried way too hard to get him going.
Neal was maybe the worst Flame I've ever seen.
