Yup, I can't believe I bought the tickets all the way back in November! Looking forward to the Queens and checking out Royal Blood as well- I think 45 minutes is a perfect set length for them.

I'm jacked for QOTSA. Except I wish it wasn't raining. How am I gonna keep my poster from the show dry walking back to my car?

Holy crap, did anyone else look up tickets to the Smashing Pumpkins? There's like 2000 tickets sold......at the Saddledome. Almost the entire floor is available. Yikes.

I think Billy needed to get on a reunion in the late 2000's to get the nostalgic crowd. He waited too long, and failed to get Darcy on board.

Should have been at the Jubilee or Corral at most.

The loudmouth at the concert: Why can’t people stop talking and listen to the music?

Buying a ticket to a show doesn’t give you a free pass to act however you want, everyone else be damned

I was feeling this big-time during Sled Island. Maybe I'm getting too old for SI or whatever, venues like CMC and Studio Bell where people just shut the #### up and listen to the music are fantastic but it seems like every year I feel more actively driven to avoid sets at #1 Legion or the Palace. I ended up leaving Thundercat early because I was getting so irritated with the ambient chatter actively drowning out the music. I swear removing the giant flaming-C baffles on the ceiling has made the acoustics substantially worse in there too which I'm sure doesn't help.

Yeah, the Palace might be the worst for this - a few years ago Yo La Tengo (not a loud band) was ruined by all the people talking loudly at the back of the room.

It does not need to be as quiet as a jazz club, but maybe they need to make announcements for people to STFU.

Sled Island can be bad for that because people show up early to see a band they like and just chat with their friends until they get on stage. It's very disrespectful.

The worst example I can remember was a Lou Barlow acoustic set at Commonwealth. There were so many people talking you could barely hear the music.
