just buy one, its not that expensive...heck grab a used one or shoppers 20x points
I've been waiting for a friend to buy one forever and he finally went to a 20x event to get one and they screwed him over. There was an issue redeeming the points and they never resolved it until the event was over and wouldn't honor the price. Next time.
Balatro - the Poker based deck building rogue like. It’s brilliant. Rolling in 9/10 and 10/10 reviews so far, surprise indie hit of the year so far. Out in everything, check it out! (Touch screen is supported on Switch handheld)
I kinda wish there was more progression between runs but I get that it probably doesn't line up with the gameplay. Great game.
I just finished Trail in the Sky SC after over 100 hours of gameplay, and it never felt slow or tiresome like the first game.
I want to start the 3rd right away although I don't think it can live up to SC's story.
3rd was amazing tbh. It isn't an adventure game - it's a dungeon crawler - but the plot is dense and dark. It'll give you more depth on Renne and Kevin in particular. I have it ranked above the original duology but ymmv.
Zero and Azure are even better IMO.

I just did the prologue and I can tell it's a very different game. I was surprised that Kevin is the main character but I'm all for it.

Enjoy.
Do take a break after you finish third though. As much as I love Zero/Azure, I feel like I would have gotten burnt out if I didn't have a year+ gap from 3rd to the next duology, which is basically one split game much like 1st/2nd

Helldivers 2 is the best game I've played since Ultima Online.
Incredible.

I have so many games like this. When I first got BotW I started it a few times and never got far and then one time I started and it clicked and I finished it twice back to back.
Last time I started Horizon Zero Dawn I made it the farthest I have been which is not far at all, lol. I do want to play it again though I think I could get into it. Add to this list Witcher 3, I've tried numerous times and it has never clicked for me. This is a total ADHD thing for me its either a chore to play something or I get hyper focused and play through the whole thing I just wish I had control of that switch.
Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain is like that for me. Universally acclaimed as one of the best open world games ever. A staple in the MGS series. Yet I have tried 3 times to get into it and I can't even get past the first stage without giving up. I have no idea what it is about this game, but I simply can't get into it. I love open world games like this, love the MGS series, but WTF man, can't get into this one.
I plan on trying again. I dunno, maybe 4th time is a charm

I'll probably be playing Unicorn Overlord next. It looks fun.

It was really fun when it first came out but for whatever reason it seemed to age really quick. Gameplay seems outdated whenever I try to give it another go

Thank you! I thought I was the only one! I can re-play MGS 1, 2, 3, and 4 incessantly. Can't do Phantom Pain for some reason. I don't get it.

Just getting through the prologue/intro is such a chore. I mean, it's a pretty long go for most of the MGS games, but cutscenes seem a lot less aggravating than slowly crawling through that hospital or whatever. At least let me just watch vs mindless "gameplay" for what feels like an hour
