The higher you pick the more choice you have. Choice > settling because the player you had at the top of your draft board was picked a position or two before you got to the podium. Yes, but this year it's a lot more difficult for scouts and your chances of picking the "wrong" guy are higher. That's why a lot of teams chose to trade for 2022 picks.
My point is just like you can blow it on a high draft pick you can still get someone good with a 10-15 pick if you're smart with who you pick.
Therefore it wouldn't be a "crap pick".
