If the flames can win while montreal loses one or both of their games vs the oilers, that would be the ideal scenario heading into the three game set. As much as I hate to say this, the grease winning is for the greater good. Go Flames Go!

Just win . Don’t care how , don’t care if it’s a shootout. Just come away with 2 points

Let's just call it a Habs loss and not give the no-goods any credit for success.

I have no confidence that the Oilers can win.

This is Sutter's first game behind the bench for the Flames against the Sens since he took over, correct?

No chance the Flames lose this one.

Alright, maybe a small one. But I'm confident in a win.

They played 2 on March 22nd and 24th and lost both. 2-1 and 3-1.

Sutter was hired on Mar 4, but due to quarantine didn't make his debut behind the bench until Mar 11 (vs MTL).

Subsequent to that, we played the Sens on the road on Mar 22 (2-1 loss), Mar 24 (3-1 loss).

So maybe we can call this Sutter's first home game behind the bench vs the Senators.

If the right things happen tonight we're 4 points back and they have two games in hand.

In baseball terms, that is 3 games back with 11 to play. Extremely doable. Some examples:

In 2009 the Tigers had a 3 game lead with four to play. They finished tied and lost the one game playoff.
Who can forget the Jays in 1987. 3.5 game lead with 7 to play and finished 2 back.
The 1978 Red Sox, the 2007 Mets. Lots of examples.

What we need more than anything is a good old fashioned losing streak for the Canadiens. Just a monumental collapse that snowballs on them.

Best case coming into the 3 game series is 4pts back with the Habs only having 1 game in hand. Flames could exit that series being up 2 with the Habs having 1 game in hand but the Flames having the tie breaker
