Isn't Line 3 not really helping things? Not saying it shouldn't be done, but isn't it a bigger pipe to Superior and our only real customer?
I think EE and TM are the much bigger wins? Again hope it is approved but am struggling to see how this gets us a better return.

This.
And to add, I'd take Northern Gateway over KXL and EE. Alberta needs better paths west over east and south.

The Alberta Prosperity Fund today announced that Ms. Kellyanne Conway, Campaign Manager and senior advisor to the transition team for US President-elect Donald Trump, will be making a visit to Alberta in advance of the US Presidential inauguration.
Ms. Conway, President and CEO of the polling company inc./WomenTrend, remains the most publicly visible member of the Trump transition team, commenting regularly on FOX News, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, HBO and numerous radio and print stories.
"Ms. Conway is a very influential member of US President-elect Donald Trump's transition team and someone that I personally admire as a woman in politics," said Heather Forsyth, Chair of the Alberta Prosperity Fund, "her visit to Alberta at this time should send a strong signal to Canadians on the importance of this province to the United States."
During her stay, Ms. Conway will be jetting to Fort McMurray for an oil sands tour and will hold talks with Alberta business leaders at a private fundraising dinner hosted by the Alberta Prosperity Fund on January 12th. The Alberta Prosperity Fund sees the visit as a call to action for Alberta industry whose competitiveness and market access have been restricted by excessive regulation and public protests.

Oh god. Is this the time you swallow your pride and accept her with warm smiles and then poison her drink?

Why is this woman still around? Wasn't her job to get Trump elected? Is she getting a White House job now too? Like Omarosa might?
Looks like Trump's circle of friends is so small that he needs to recycle his people.

I wonder if a Line 3 approval hurts KXL?

Campaign managers and key strategists are usually very influential people before and after the campaign, especially if they win. Think of David Axelrod, David Plouffe, Karl Rove. It's certainly in Alberta's interest to have her as a friend.

A lot of people work on campaigns with the expectation of an appointment afterwards.

Alberta is in need of good news from a business perspective. Perception can become a reality.

No joint announcement doesn't seem like a good omen I'm guessing.

More likely it is because approval is a federal matter, and announcing approval/denial of projects with only one Premier, when several provinces are affected, doesn't make much sense.

Pipelines are good but the more important matter is the OPEC decision tomorrow. If they don't cut there will be more bloodshed at producers here in town.

Then he looks at the camera and continues on to say "oh ya, the Feds will also pay for the WV ground clean-up as it isn't a City issue and we have made protecting waterways a priority".
Hey - I can hope right?

I don't know how anyone can still think OPEC is going to do anything after the past 2 years of this same routine every 3 months. It's a joke.
